How should we read and study the Holy Bible, which is the Word?

Here are some simple tips:

Choose a specific place.
Make sure there are no distractions.
Put away your devices and/or other items that could interfere.
For your quiet time with Lord Jesus, don’t use any devotional book, but focus on God’s Word.
It is better to read 10 Bible verses than 10,000 sentences without being sensitive to the Holy Spirit!
If you have specific questions you may want to write them down and ask the Holy Spirit to grant you the answers.

Which version of the Holy Bible should you choose to study?

There are many good Bible versions. In this Bible Study we have primarily used the New King James Version of the Bible. The Complete Jewish Bible, the 1599 Geneva Bible, the Holman Christian Standard Bible, the American Standard Bible, and the King James Version (KJV) are other good ones that were translated close to the original text.

The Amplified Bible and the Amplified Bible Classic Edition, both add various English word equivalents to some Hebrew and Greek words to clarify and unwrap the meaning.

Although we provide online links below to the Holy Bible, it is best to have your own hard copy Bible in which you can underline certain Bible verses.

Before reading and studying the Scriptures, pray that the Holy Spirit open your eyes!

Without the help of the Holy Spirit our eyes will not be opened to understand the Scriptures and you will only have head-knowledge.

So, you may want to pray in the Name of Jesus:

Welcome heavenly Father God, welcome Lord Jesus Christ and welcome Holy Spirit!
Precious heavenly Father, thank You for Your wisdom and for opening the eyes of my understanding to grant me a deeper revelation of Christ Jesus!
