End Times: Great Tribulation
Chapter 4: What is the Day of the LORD, When and What is the Millennium, and How Long is the Day of the LORD?
What is the Day of the LORD?
Abstract
What is the Day of the LORD?
-
The Day of the LORD is God’s (Final) Vengeance in other words God’s judgment on the nations, among other things, due to all the rebellion on the earth and because they divided the land that God promised to Abraham and his descendants.
-
God’s Day of Wrath will -most likely- occur after Satan’s Wrath and it will come as a thief in the night for those in darkness, but for the children of light it is for their salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.
-
Apart from the Old Testament prophets, both Paul, Peter and Jesus our Messiah also seem to connect the Day of the LORD with the Rapture at the coming of the Son of Man.
-
Prior to the Day of the LORD various heavenly signs take place, which are described in both the Old and New Testament.
-
On webpage Chapter 3 "Purpose, What is, How Long is the Great Tribulation" we learned that the Bible teaches that God’s children will be persecuted during the Great Tribulation; however, during the Day of the LORD the Elect/Saints will be taken out or kept safe just like Noah and his family. More on this on web page "Is there an Escape and Who will Escape?"
Amos 5:18,19a,20a,24-25
“Woe to you who desire the day of the Lord! For what good is the day of the Lord to you? It will be darkness, and not light. It will be as though a man fled from a lion, and a bear met him! … Is not the day of the LORD darkness, and not light? …
But let justice (KJV: judgment) run down like water, and righteousness like a mighty stream. “Did you offer Me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel?””
Amos 5:26-27
“You also carried Sikkuth (KJV: Moloch, a pagan deity) your king and Chiun, your idols, the star of your gods, which you made for yourselves. Therefore, I will send you into captivity beyond Damascus”, says the Lord, whose name is the God of hosts.”
-
Prophet Amos describes the ones that think they are righteous and think they can stand before the Most High and Holy God, but they are mistaken they will be shocked to realize that the whole time they were far away from God.
-
Amos continues and states that on the Day of the LORD Israel will be confronted with God’s judgment, because of their disobedience, idolatry and even child sacrifice, which Moloch -in other translations Molech- a pagan deity required. More than once did the house of Israel and Judah go into captivity due to their rebellion.
Obadiah 1:15-16
“For the day of the Lord upon all the nations is near; as you have done, it shall be done to you; your reprisal shall return upon your own head.
For as you drank on My holy mountain, so shall all the nations drink continually; yes, they shall drink, and swallow, and they shall be as though they had never been.”
-
This time, this Day of the LORD has to do with all the nations of the earth.
Obadiah 1:18
“The house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame; but the house of Esau shall be stubble; they shall kindle them and devour them, and no survivor shall remain of the house of Esau,” for the Lord has spoken.”
-
Prophet Obadiah continues and states that the Day of the LORD will be upon Esau (Edom), because of many trespasses against Israel and their opposition to God.
Joel 2:30-32
“And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.
And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, as the Lord has said, among the remnant whom the Lord calls."
-
Before the Day of the LORD arrives there will be various heavenly signs: a blood moon and the sun will turn into darkness.
-
All that call upon the Lord Jesus will be saved, as "... there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” [Acts 4:12]
Joel 3:1-2
“For behold, in those days and at that time, when I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat;
and I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people, My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; they have also divided up My land."
-
According to prophet Joel, the Day of the LORD is God’s Judgment on all nations that have come as one against Israel.
-
On September 22, 2024, the United Nations (UN) adopted the “Pact for the Future to transform global governance”, while on December 3, 2024, the General Assembly of the UN adopted 3 Resolutions to primarily advance Middle East Peace and execute a Two-State Solution for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The majority of nations voted in favor of this Resolution. The UN planned to finalize this in June 2025, however this has not yet occurred, but is undoubtedly in the process. The Abraham Accords between Israel and Arab and Muslim states is certainly building momentum.
-
Could this have been the start or fulfillment of the “covenant with many” of Daniel 9:27? With the aforementioned, the UN is trying to create a One World Government that can dictate its mandates on the nations. Don't forget that "the god of this age/world" that is the temporary spiritual leader of the world system is Satan, as we can read in 2 Corinthians 4:4.
-
God promised the land of Canaan to Abraham and his seed [Genesis 12:7; 13:15; 15:18-21; 17:8], so once this division of Israel's land is executed by the nations, God’s judgment will be next according to Joel 3:2.
-
Prior to the UN, the World Health Organization (WHO) inspired by the World Economic Forum (WEF) also tried to obtain authority to enable it at its sole discretion to again decree a so-called pandemic and have the world follow its instructions. The previous “pandemic” was a grand lie. As is written, "...for your merchants were the great and prominent men of the earth, because all the nations were deceived and misled by your sorcery [your magic spells and poisonous charm, Strong's G5331: pharmakeia]." [Revelation 18:23, AMP]
Isaiah 34:4,8
"All the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled up like a scroll; all their host shall fall down as the leaf falls from the vine, and as fruit falling from a fig tree ...
For it is the day [yôm] of the LORD’s vengeance, the year [šānâ] of recompense for the cause of Zion."
-
Here prophet Isaiah speaks about the final Day of the LORD's Vengeance when heaven will be abolished prior to the New Heaven that will be revealed.
Zephaniah 1:14-18
“The great day of the Lord is near; it is near and hastens quickly. The noise of the day of the Lord is bitter; there the mighty men shall cry out. That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of devastation and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, a day of trumpet and alarm against the fortified cities and against the high towers.
‘I will bring distress upon men, and they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the Lord; their blood shall be poured out like dust, and their flesh like refuse.’ Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the Lord’s wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of His jealousy, for He will make speedy riddance of all those who dwell in the land."
Zechariah 13:8-9
“And it shall come to pass in all the land,” says the Lord, “That two-thirds in it shall be cut off and die, but one-third shall be left in it: I will bring the one-third through the fire, will refine them as silver is refined, and test them as gold is tested.
They will call on My name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘This is My people’; and each one will say, ‘The LORD is my God.’ ”
-
Prophet Zephaniah warns that the time of God's wrath will be a time of darkness but also a time in which the land will be devastated by fire.
-
Prophet Zechariah warns of something worse, the Day of the LORD will be a time of God’s Wrath during which many will die; nonetheless 33% of the people in Israel will in faith call upon the real Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah in Hebrew) and be kept alive. God has always demonstrated that He is faithful to those that call upon His name.
Zechariah 14:1-3,4a-5,8-9
“Behold, the day of the Lord is coming, and your spoil will be divided in your midst. For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem; the city shall be taken, the houses rifled, and the women ravished.
Half of the city shall go into captivity, but the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
Then the Lord will go forth and fight against those nations, as He fights in the day of battle. And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, ...
Then you shall flee through My mountain valley, for the mountain valley shall reach to Azal. Yes, you shall flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Thus, the Lord my God will come, and all the saints with You.
And in that day, it shall be that living waters shall flow from Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and half of them toward the western sea; in both summer and winter it shall occur. And the Lord shall be King over all the earth. In that day it shall be - “The Lord is one,” and His name one."
-
This Day of the LORD according to prophet Zechariah is clearly in the End Times when Israel will once again confront a great battle against "all the nations" during which Jerusalem will be captured, but Jesus will come together with "all the Saints" to put an end to this battle.
-
Zechariah -so it seems- sees the Day of the LORD in conjunction with Jesus' Return with His Saints; hence, this must be at the end of the Great Tribulation, as Jesus indicated in Matthew 24:29.
-
After this Day of Wrath, Jesus will rule as the KING of kings over all the earth during 1,000 years. More details about this period in the paragraph on the "Millennium".
Malachi 4:1-3
“For behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, and all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up,” says the Lord of hosts, “That will leave them neither root nor branch. But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings; and you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves. You shall trample the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I do this,” says the Lord of hosts."
-
Prophet Malachi confirms that this Day of the LORD will be a day of judgment with burning fire. It seems that the earth will be extremely hot like "an oven", but those that fear the Lord and walk in holiness will enjoy God's covering and be safe, just like the Psalmist declares, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." [Psalm 91:1]
Matthew 24:29-30,31,37-43
“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other … But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into."
-
In Matthew 24 Jesus talks about His return when all eyes will see Him and when His angels -at the sound of the great Trumpet, which is in Jesus' own words "after the Tribulation"- will gather His elect, in other words this will be when His Saints will be Raptured. More on the Rapture in a later Chapter.
-
Jesus also links His coming -using the following descriptions "in what watch the thief would come" and "foolish virgins" who were unprepared [Matthew 24:43; 25:10]- with the days of Noah, hence, comparing it with the Day of the LORD.
-
Apart from the Old Testament prophets, both Paul, Peter and Jesus our Messiah also seem to connect the Day of the LORD with the Rapture at the coming of the Son of Man.
Matthew 24:38
“For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be."
1 Thessalonians 5:1-4,5-6,7-10
“But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.
For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.
You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore, let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober ... But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.
For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him."
-
For a majority of the inhabitants on earth that have taken the Mark of the Beast during the Great Tribulation will have counterfeit "peace and safety"*, just like in the days of Noah they will be eating, drinking, marrying, and worshiping the Antichrist. More in the Chapter on the "Mark of the Beast".
-
God’s Day of Wrath will -most likely- occur after Satan’s Wrath** and it comes as a thief in the night for those in darkness, but for the children of light, the pure human Remnant race, it is for their salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. [1 Thessalonians 5:8-9]
-
* This "peace and safety" feeling in all likelihood among other things is due to the peace treaty and the deceptive technology.
-
** Regarding the timeline "after Satan's Wrath", God could also have His Wrath start at the beginning or at midway of the Great Tribulation, but because it is linked to Jesus' Second Coming this seems more likely to occur at the end of Satan's Wrath.
2 Peter 3:3-4
“knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, ‘Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.' "
-
Many have asked this question, ‘When will Jesus return?', and others have given different predictions of the date of His Second Coming, but all in vain.
-
However, God did give a hint.
2 Peter 3:7-9
"But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance."
-
Peter explains that 1 day with God is as 1,000 years in our experience, while 1,000 years in our time frame is as 1 day with God, as the Everlasting Father [Isaiah 9:6, Psalm 90:2,4] is outside of time and is "from everlasting to everlasting".
-
In addition, God in His love for His creation does not want any one to be lost in eternity, but that each person might repent.
Revelation 6:12-13,15-17
"I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind.
And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!
For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?"
-
The heavenly signs (sun, moon, stars) mentioned in Matthew 24 and Revelation 6 occur after the Great Tribulation together with the Day of the LORD, while all will fear the LORD and try to hide themselves when Jesus appears.
-
Jesus once came as a sinless and blameless Lamb and was slain almost 2,000 years ago, but this time He will come as the Judge, "For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father.", John 5:22-23a.
Revelation 8:12
"Then the fourth angel sounded: And a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them were darkened. A third of the day did not shine, and likewise the night."
-
There are more heavenly signs (sun, moon, stars) mentioned in Revelation 8, this time with the angel sounding the 4th Trumpet seemingly prior or when the Day of Wrath starts. It seems that the Day of the LORD is extended.
When and What is the Millennium?
Abstract
When and What is the Millennium?
-
The 1,000-Year-Reign on earth of the KING of kings Christ Jesus out of Jerusalem is also called the Millennium.
-
This Millennium -the 3rd Day of Hosea 6:2- starts after the almost final phase of the Day of the LORD at the end of the Great Tribulation.
Hosea 6:1-3a
"Come, and let us return to the Lord; for He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us; on the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His sight. Let us know, let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord."
-
Notice God indicates through His prophet Hosea that "after 2 days" that is 2,000 years in our human terms, He will revive Israel; after paying attention to the heathen during those 2,000 years for them to also enter the Kingdom of His Son Yeshua HaMashiach.
-
God knows when His 2 days are completed and when the last soul -that is willing and that God purposed in His Plan- has surrendered to Jesus. Could the counting have started at Jesus' crucifixion or at His ascension to heaven? If that is the case time is indeed very short.
-
On the 3rd day in other words for 1,000 years, King Jesus will rule out of Jerusalem and Israel will "live in His sight". This will make up a total of 7,000 years.
-
Since creation we have had 4,000 years of human history and governance with Israel as centerpiece, then we almost have 2,000 years with the gentiles coming to Christ. After these 6,000 years the 1,000 years will follow under Christ' Governance bringing it up to a total of 7,000 years. Comparable to the 7 days of creation. [Genesis 1 and 2:1-3] What then follows are the New Heavens and the New Earth in which we will then be in eternity.
2 Thessalonians 2:1-4
“Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.”
-
Paul clearly warns us not to be deceived thinking that Jesus had already returned, as the apostacy -the falling away from the faith- will first occur, as well as the "man of sin", the Antichrist, must first be exposed seated in the 3rd Temple of God.
Revelation 19:19-21
“And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army.
Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh."
-
God is in control and the Ancient of Days has the last word; the beast and the false prophet will be cast alive in the lake of fire at the end of the Great Tribulation.
-
Jesus' Kingdom is everlasting; hallelujah.
Revelation 20:1-5
“Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished.
But after these things he must be released for a little while.
And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them.
Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands.
And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection."
-
Contrary to what happens with the beast and the false prophet that are immediately thrown in the lake of fire, Satan is bound in the bottomless pit for 1,000 years.
-
The Millennium then starts when King Jesus rules with His Saints from Jerusalem for 1,000 years on earth, while this 1,000-year-period will be after the major part of the Day of the LORD at the end of the Great Tribulation.
2 Peter 3:10-13
"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?
Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells."
-
Peter in his second letter connects Jesus’ return with the Rapture ("thief in the night") and the Judgment Day of Fire during which the Old Earth and Old Heaven will be destroyed, as well as God's promise of bringing in a New Earth and New Heavens. [2 Peter 3:4,7,10-13]
-
In verses 10 and 12 above Peter joins “the Day of the LORD” with the earth being on fire and the heavens being abolished, with that Day coming “as a thief in the night”; Jesus uses a similar phrase in Matthew 24 and 25 when referring to His Second Coming when most will least expect Him.
-
Furthermore, Peter refers to our hope in seeing the New Heavens and the New Earth in God's appointed time; although this promise will be fulfilled by God, once the Millennium has ended.
-
Considering the aforementioned, especially the fact that Peter states, "But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men", it would not be logical that the Old Earth and Old Heaven would already be burned up at the end of the Great Tribulation when the Millennium starts, for the following reason. At the end of the 1,000-Year-Reign of Christ more ungodly men of all nations together with Satan will have to be judged.
How Long is the Day of the LORD?
Abstract
How Long is the Day of the LORD?
-
Even though in the context of the Day of the LORD there is mention of “the Year of My Redeemed” and Jesus also compares it to the days of Noah, which lasted for a total of 370 days, this Day of Vengeance could be during 1 year, but is only partially fulfilled at the end of the Great Tribulation.
-
The almost completed Day of the LORD precedes the Millennium, but God’s Wrath -God's last and closing Day of the LORD- will need to end Satan’s final intrusion and deception, as well as the rebellion of the nations after the Millennium.
-
Hence, during the Millennium that "Day of Wrath" will be paused to then finally really burn up the whole Old Earth and Old Heaven at the end of the 1,000-Year-Reign of the KING of kings Yeshua HaMashiach, Christ Jesus, and ultimately usher in the New Heavens and the New Earth.
-
Prior to and during the Millennium, the Old Earth and Old Heaven must still exist, as after those 1,000 years the Battle of Gog and Magog will take place in which the deceiver Satan will be defeated, and only then will the Old Earth and Old Heaven be burned up.
-
Hence, the New Heaven and the New Earth together with the New Jerusalem are a fact after the Millennium.
-
Most likely there will be a 1 year Day of the LORD during or at the end of the Great Tribulation, but then this Day of Wrath will definitely end at the end of the Millennium.
Isaiah 63:3-4
“I have trodden the winepress alone, and from the peoples no one was with Me. For I have trodden them in My anger, and trampled them in My fury; their blood is sprinkled upon My garments, and I have stained all My robes. For the day of vengeance is in My heart, and the year of My redeemed has come.”
-
God indicates that His Vengeance (Wrath) will come one day, as well as the final embrace of His children.
Luke 17:24-26
“For as the lightning that flashes out of one part under heaven shines to the other part under heaven, so also the Son of Man will be in His day. But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man:”
-
Every eye will see Jesus, the Righteous Judge, coming when He comes as lightning.
-
Jesus compares His return with the Day of the LORD with the days of Noah and the flood, see Genesis 6-8.
Genesis 8:18, AMP, AMPC
“So Noah went out, and his wife and his sons and their wives with him [after being in the ark one year and ten days].”
-
At the age of 600, in the 2nd month and on the 17th day, Noah entered the Ark, and God commands him to come out after the waters of the flood dried up at age 601, in the 2nd month and on the 27th day. That is after 370 days. Could this also be the time period of God’s Wrath?
-
Even though in the context of the Day of the LORD there is mention of “the Year of My Redeemed” [Isaiah 63:3-4] and Jesus also compares it to the days of Noah [Matthew 24], which lasted for a total of 370 days [Genesis 6-8], this Day of Vengeance most likely is only partially fulfilled at the end of the Great Tribulation.
2 Peter 3:10
“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.”
-
When will the heavens pass away and the earth be completely burned up? If we know that answer we know how long the Day of the Lord is.
2 Peter 3:11-13
“Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells."
Revelation 21:1-3
“Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also, there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God."
Revelations 21:7-12b
“Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.
The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life."
-
It seems that God’s Day of Vengeance is extended to after the Millennium when Satan is released who once again deceives the world; this time God will utterly destroy all evil from the earth during the final Battle of Gog and Magog.
-
When Satan is finally thrown in the lake of fire that will certainly be the definite end of the Day of the LORD.
-
Most likely there will be a 1 year Day of the LORD during or at the end of the Great Tribulation, but then this Day of Wrath will definitely end at the end of the Millennium.
-
El Shaddai, God Almighty, the Creator, certainly is in control.
